Poterie LM Serafin Pottery

Updated: February 23, 2023

Plan to attend spring markets now!

I’ll be at Peabody Farm Easter Market April 8, 2023 and my Tulip Ware Collection will be available again this year at the Canadian Tulip Festival grounds and in their online boutique.  I’m planning some lovely Mother’s Day giftware and the gallery has recently been re-stocked.  Sign up below to get added to my mailing list and get news right in your inbox. Follow me on Instagram and Facebook to see what I’ve been up to.

Poterie LM Serafin Pottery continues to remain opened almost any time you need it to be opened!  Just give me a call and set up an appointment.  819-281-3307.
My “regular” hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 – 5, but I can accommodate you outside of those hours in some cases.

The pottery is opened by appointment year-round and is just 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa, and 20 minutes from downtown Buckingham, QC.  For the best pieces, best prices, discounted seconds and special orders, a visit to the gallery in Mayo is a must.

“I have had the pleasure of meeting this lovely artist only once, but have purchased many of her pieces over the last few years. She has created pieces for me on request as well. I love the textures and colours of every piece created. Her glaze techniques and choices are always exquisite. I have a lot of pottery, but the works of this artist are my treasures.”

Currently this website is not set up for commerce.  You can still purchase my work in these ways:

Shop in person at the gallery in Mayo – The gallery is located in Mayo, QC which is 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa, and 20 minutes from Buckingham.  The drive is gorgeous any time of year, and all of the roads that lead to the pottery are well maintained in the winter months.
At the gallery you get to see, touch, hold, caress, ogle, fondle, stroke and gaze upon the work. Everyone buys pottery for different reasons and sometimes the physical experience is the best way to tell if that piece is “THE” piece.  That said, I have had no complaints from those who have purchased online via email conversation with me, the artist.

Buy “online” via email conversation with the artist –
This website is not set up for commerce, but if you have a few minutes, all you need to do is drop me a line at asking about whatever it is you’d like to purchase. My Facebook page has an album called “Currently In Stock” which is updated 4 or 5 times each year. Feel free to drop me a line of you have any questions and together we will find “the piece” that you want.  I prefer payment by eTransfer but also accept PayPal with 5% user fee. I will also accept a cheque you send to me in the mail, but I reserve the right to hold the goods until the cheque has cleared, and only then will I ship the pottery.

Buyer pays shipping.  All packages shipped within Canada are insured for loss.
All packages are shipped Canada Post. Canada Post is the least expensive way for me to ship your purchases.
All of the pottery made at LM Serafin Pottery is food safe. No lead has been used in the glazes.
The clay used is stoneware and fired to a high (2300 F) temperature. Stoneware is durable, but still needs care (SEE How to Care for your Pottery in the menu above).
All of LM Serafin pottery should be hand-washed.
It can be used in the microwave.
You can put it in a warming oven.
The pottery is not cookware.

The Pottery is opened by appointment year round. You must call before coming (because I might be out walking in the woods, getting groceries, or teaching my amazing students!).  Please call 819-281-3307 to make an appointment.
